This is a VERY typical scene of the unit taking a break in the jungle. The guy in the foreground is writing a letter. The guys in the background, on the other side of the trail are probably playing a card game of hearts.

 This was a very typical view of the normal "rest stops" that we took.

 The stuff hanging is "poncho liners" we used these for blankets and I am sure they are hanging because it

 had rained and they got wet. The guy in the middle of the picture was nicknamed "snowball" because of his

 graying hair.
