Ok, next problem is for @Gordon
Can I change my rank that appears under my username and avatar?

If I look in ACP, groups and users, manage users, input my name then under my entry I look in the drop down menu on the right under select form and select rank.
On the live forum there are 9 ranks, on the test forum only three.
Is it possible to change my current co administrator rank back to the forum default 'Earth ambassador" etc. the little button under that still has co-admin on it. Or will this affect my permissions?

You really shouldn't change your rank to anything other than what it is. It helps members to know who is who.

Yes, that is what I am after.
My rank title can be the same as the registered users, below that is the rank image, in this case a green button with co-admin emblazoned on it, yours is red with admin on it. That button still lets folks know who I am but my rank name is the same as everyone which is based on my post count.
So going by the link you posted I would need to create a 'special' rank in this case.
I would like to try it out and see what it looks like. Obviously I would like to try making the changes myself, learn by doing.
