Good start.....
Now as you are entering the post / topic, if you scroll down the page you will see a tab that says "calendar". Click on it and you can add the dates and times for the event. (be sure to enter a short event name where it asks for one.).
This will create a new calendar entry and will automatically include a link back to your post / topic.
I went ahead and edited your post to show what it looks like.
