My wife happened to be looking through an old
photo album and stumbled across these pictures. They all had comments written on
the back of them so I have some names and dates. I had sent these home to my
mother while I was in Vietnam. Hopefully they may bring back some memories.

This is a picture of an APC (armored personnel carrier) moving through
the jungle. It was taken the first part of February 1970 while 1st platoon was working
with the 11th Armored Cav. |

This is a picture of Bill Belcher (my platoon sergeant) and myself.
We were about 5 miles outside of Quan Loi. I am on the left and Bill is
the guy on the right. Bill was from Anaheim, Ca. |

This is a picture of Bill holding an M-60 machine gun. If I remember
right Bill was a "biker" way back then. (Looks like it huh!) |

Here is a picture of one of the 11th Armored Cavalry's Sheridan
tanks. I am sure some of the guys in the picture are our guys. Again

Here's another picture of us working with 11th Armored Cavalry in
February of 1970. |
Click on image for a larger view. This one was fun to find! This is a group of guys from 1st platoon
sitting next to the latrine (I couldn't tell you why we picked there to
sit) while we were on LZ Kathleen. Picture was taken on January 26th
1970. I have written the names on the back of the picture thankfully. If
you click on the picture it will enlarge and I have marked names on
it. One of the guys in the picture was nicknamed "Dud" I
remember he walked point a lot of the time.
